Black History with Democratic Party
Time for a history lesson. Let me start by saying that this message is not intended to be an advertisement for why you should be a Republican.
I think we’re much better off classifying ourselves as independent and voting for the party that is most likely to support libertarian ideals. (small government) Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we can discuss the Democratic Party.
It touts itself as being pro-minority causes and as a result, it has pretty much owned the black vote for the past 70 years. You’re going to hear from media, and most likely friends that to not vote Democrat is anti-black. (in fact that Biden just had the nerve to say you’re not black if you don’t vote democrat: can it get any more patronizing than that?)
What you’re about to read below is strong evidence that blacks (and other minorities) have been duped. The Democratic Party and the media have been actively working to destroy blacks for the past 70 years. Whether it was intended or not, that has been the results of their actions. This is not opinion, but objective fact which will be reflected in everything else you read below. Strap your seat belts, and let’s begin:
Factoid #1: President Lincoln Emancipates Slaves. Party Affiliation: RepublicanDemocrats were vehemently pro-slavery and anti-emancipation. If you don’t believe that, see Factoid #2 below: Factoid #2: Every state that was on the confederate side was held by democrats. Every state that was on the union side was republican. The fact of the matter is this: It was NOT the South vs. the North. It was really the Democrats vs. the Republicans. Democrats pro-slavery, Republicans anti-slavery. It’s just an “inconvenient fact that the press and the democratic party is unwilling to admit. Factoid #3: Immediately following the Emancipation Proclamation, the period in American History called “Reconstruction” began. These are the years 1870 – 1887. During those years, the Federal government enforced free and fair elections in the southern states. These elections produced 15 black congressman and 2 black senators. I’ve listed their names below.Note: EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS REPUBLICAN. Not a single democrat to be found. They are as follows:

Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and black Republican leaders. Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s Factoid #5: President Theodore Roosevelt (Republican) invites Booker T. Washington to the White House for dinner.President Roosevelt becomes the first president to sit down to dinner with a black man in the White House. Note, Theodore Roosevelt is a, you guessed it, a Republican!! See the note below from Wikipidia on this event. Note: Every negative comment is from a democrat. Also notice how even Wikipedia replaces the word “Democrat” with the word “Southerner”. They want you to think that racism belongs to southerners, and NOT to democrats. “The following day, the White House released a statement headed, “Booker T Washington of Tuskegee, Alabama, dined with the President last evening.” The response from the southern press and politicians was immediate, sustained and vicious. For example, Senator James K. Vardaman (D) of Mississippi complained that the White House was now, “so saturated with the odor of nigger that the rats had taken refuge in the stable;” the Memphis Scimitar declared it “the most damnable outrage which has ever been perpetrated by any citizen of the United States,”[7] and on 25 October the Missouri Sedalia Sentinel published on its front page a poem entitled “Niggers in the White House,” which ended suggesting that either the president’s daughter should marry Washington or his son one of Washington’s relatives. Senator Benjamin Tillman (D) of South Carolina said “we shall have to kill a thousand niggers to get them back in their places.” The Northern presses were more generous, acknowledging Washington’s accomplishments and suggesting that the dinner was an attempt by Roosevelt to emphasize he was everybody’s president.[8]” Factoid #6: The infamous Jim Crow laws were Democratic party imposed rules designed to suppress the black vote. Notice what I just said: DEMOCRATIC PARTY designed rules. See below from Wikipedia: Jim Crow laws were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States.[1] All were enacted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by white Democratic-dominated state legislatures after the Reconstruction period.[2] The laws were enforced until 1965.[3] In practice, Jim Crow laws mandated racial segregation in all public facilities in the states of the former Confederate States of America and other states, starting in the 1870s and 1880s. Jim Crow laws were upheld in 1896 in the case of Plessy vs. Ferguson, in which the U.S. Supreme Court laid out its “separate but equal” legal doctrine for facilities for African Americans. Moreover, public education had essentially been segregated since its establishment in most of the South after the Civil War (1861–65). The legal principle of “separate but equal” racial segregation was extended to public facilities and transportation, including the coaches of interstate trains and buses. Facilities for African Americans and Native Americans were consistently inferior and underfunded compared to the facilities for white Americans; sometimes, there were no facilities for people of color.[4][5] As a body of law, Jim Crow institutionalized economic, educational, and social disadvantages for African Americans and other people of color living in the South.[4][5][6] Factoid #6: “Separate but Equal” was created by the Democratic Party. (see factoid #5 above) Factoid #7: Elimination of the Black Population (and other minorities, undesirables to include mentally retarded, kids with Down’s Syndrome, etc) Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, who favored eugenics. Of course, you can guess who would most likely be adversely impacted by eugenics policies, no? (I don’t really need to elaborate here do I?) A study by the Guttmacher Institute showed that Blacks had an abortion rate of 27.1 per 1,000 live births. The White rate by comparison was 10.0. Is it an accident that blacks abort at a rate nearly three times greater than whites? I really don’t care about intentions. I care about results. Eugenicists like Margaret Sanger were looking to reduce the “surplus population” in the words of Charles Dickens, and they appear to be extremely effective at getting it done. in 2015, 40% of all abortions were performed on black babies. Blacks only represent 12% of the US population. But we’re getting 40% of the abortions. That means we’re aborting at a rate 3 1/2 times greater than whites. Hmmmm….how about applying some of that liberal affirmative action and balancing out these numbers? (sorry for the sarcasm!!) Of course you KNOW who funds and bankrolls Planned Parenthood: The Democratic Party. (I’m not sure why they are interested in killing their guaranteed future voters, but what can I say?) Oh, and if you doubt any of this: look at where Planned Parenthood locates its facilities. It’s almost ALWAYS in black inner city neighborhoods. Why in Portland they have the chutzpah to locate the facility on Martin Luther King Ave!! (talk about nerve!!) Factoid #8: Conditions of large inner cities in the United States This is as obvious as the nose on your face. Name pretty much any major American City and you’ll find that it’s run by Democrats. You’ll also find that the conditions that blacks have to put up with in their neighborhoods are appalling. Out of control crime, bad police work, poor sanitation, no grocery stores, apartment buildings that look like they’re from the Soviet Gulags. And EVERY SINGLE ONE of these cities is run by Democrats. Baltimore, St. Louis, Philadelphia, New York City, Detroit, etc. St Louis. St Louis is ranked as the most dangerous city in the US with a violent crime rate of 1,817.10 per 100,000 residents. …Detroit. …Memphis. …Milwaukee. …Baltimore. …Oakland. …Kansas City. …Stockton. I’m not even going to bother looking up which party runs those cities: you know WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING IT UP who runs them. Factoid #9: Public School System: You KNOW who reflexively supports public schools. Yes, the Democratic party. You KNOW who is anti-charter schools and anything else that allows poor black kids to escape the prison of the public school system. I’m not going to take the time to look up the data. Because it’s universally known that the public school system is particularly bad at delivering education to black kids. Especially in the aforementioned democratically controlled cities.The failure is absolutely astonishing. For a party that touts itself as being pro-black, why are they so anti-school choice for their black constituents? Could it have anything to do with the fact that their pockets get lined by the Teacher’s Unions? Yeah, they just have more money than poor black kids. Just a guess. I could be wrong. (sorry, the sarcasm slipped in again) And for the life of me, I don’t understand why black people keep voting for people who keep them living in hell. I just don’t get it. The funny thing is this: All the whining about police brutality against blacks may or may not be true on a case by case basis. And I have no doubt that a lot of it IS true. But I also know this: WHO IS RUNNING THESE CITIES with these piss poor policing going on? It’s Democrats!! How do they escape culpability for this from the press is amazing.
Factoid #10: Concentration Camps in the United States Here is another treat delivered to you by the Democratic Party. President Roosevelt developed concentration camps to round up all the Japanese US citizens at the beginning of WWII. Note: NOT REPUBLICANS, but democrats. The only president in our history to have done something like this. Talk about an outrageous act of racism. I thought this was supposed to be the party of race equality? I guess not so much. (His cousin Theodore Roosevelt would have not been proud.) Factoid # 11: The Stand in the School house Door. Democratic Governor George Wallace of Alabama famously stood in the door of the University of Alabama to prevent three new black students from attending class. Yep, that’s right kids. A DEMOCRAT did that. Not a Republican. Given the national conversation would you ever believe that? See below from Wikipedia. (I don’t need Wikipedia for that one: I remember it happening!!) (well, I was only 3: but the adults around me talked about that ALL the time!!) The Stand in the Schoolhouse Door took place at Foster Auditorium at the University of Alabama on June 11, 1963. George Wallace, the Democratic Governor of Alabama, in a symbolic attempt to keep his inaugural promise of “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever” and stop the desegregation of schools, stood at the door of the auditorium to try to block the entry of two African American students: Vivian Malone and James Hood.[1]
Booker T. Washington vs. W.E.B. Dubois
In light of current events, I think it’s important for your “old man” to give you his insights into this question around the prevalence of racism in American society, historical strategies that have been employed by prominent civil rights leaders, and most important of all, what should you do about it personally. Before discussing those three areas, I think it’s important to address the question: “has the country progressed on the issue of race relations?” The reason I pose this question is that the popular media seems to be actively selling the message that things have not improved, and the country is as racist now as it was in 1980, 1960, or 1900. That is patently not true. The country has made tremendous progress compared to where it has been. The most obvious example is the election of a black president. When I was a child, it was thought more likely that we would put a man on the moon before a black man would become president. (and in fact, we did!!) I can remember my mother yelling for us to run to the TV because a black man was on TV. (Who wasn’t a servant). It was that rare. My first memory was at three years old a white gas station owner in Nevada chased our family off his gas station lot with a shotgun screaming he didn’t serve n*••*#*#s. I had a professor in college accuse me of plagiarism because my paper was too well written to be written b a black student. When I’ve responded to ads for apartments they were suddenly no longer available when I showed up in person. I’m of course not suggesting that these things never happen any more, but there is no way it happens at the level it happened forty years ago. My grandfather watched a black man get hung on the courthouse steps when he was a child. For people in his age group that was a regular occurrence. That doesn’t happen any more. Separate Public drinking fountains and bathrooms for blacks and whites doesn’t happen any more. Blacks are mayors, governors, and executives in the corporate world. These were rarities forty years ago. So why is it important to debunk this narrative that racism is as prevalent as it was forty years ago? Because it is the objective of the purveyors of this nonsense to persuade the general public that America is inherently and irredeemably racist. And this simply is not the case. The country has come a great distance in that time. In fact, much further than any society in human history. Consider the following factoids:
The USA is the only country in history to have fought a civil war where brothers killed brothers to eliminate the plague of slavery
The USA & Great Britain are the only countries in history to deploy their navies with the explicit task of capturing or sinking slave cargo ships
All of recorded human history has included slavery. Is this current generation’s education so poor that it doesn’t know the story of the book of Exodus and Moses leading his people from Egypt? (the answer to that question is a depressing yes)
The elimination of slavery is relatively recent, and only in the West in the last 150 years
The following countries still conduct a healthy slave trade: North Korea, Eritrea, Burundi, The Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Mauritania, South Sudan, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Iran. In Mauritania, 600,000 men, women, and children are enslaved RIGHT NOW. That’s 20% of its population.
Doesn’t it seem just a bit disingenuous that no one is talking about eliminating CURRENT slavery, but focusing on the US slave event from 150 years ago? This tells you that the real project of the popular press, the intelligentsia, and by extension the Democratic Party is the destruction of the West. But I digress. So clearly the country has progressed. But who were the early Black American strategists that created that progress? And how did they think? Few people know the players, or the history. Let me give you brief overview of that history. I hope this will encourage you to do your own further research in this area. At the turn of the century, (I mean 1900!) the strategists could be divided into two camps. The first camp was led by Booker T. Washington, founder of the Tuskegee Institute, and a the most prominent leader of the black community from 1890-1915. His philosophy could be summarized as driving black achievement through education, entrepreneurship, and hard work. In short, he felt that the shortest path to achieving equal treatment under the law was to not challenge Jim Crow directly; but to earn the respect of the larger white society by becoming successful without their help. Maybe even in spite of them. He summarized his position in a speech given in Atlanta in 1895 which later became known as the Atlanta Compromise. The other side or the Left was represented by WEB Du Bois. He was the leading black intellectual at the time, and one of the key founders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. (NAACP) He was a key figure in driving civil rights legislation and getting black figures like Thurgood Marshall into positions of influence. (First black Supreme Court justice) Where he disagreed with Booker Washington was Du Bois thought the black intellectual elite known as the talented tenth would uplift the black lower classes. He felt this would be best accomplished by granting of full civil rights immediately and increased political representation. Of course, being a Harvard intellectual type he was also socialist. Washington thought that blacks needed to first earn that right to full representation by kicking the racism the door down via massive success achieved without white assistance. The ultimate self help guy. Now why is this relevant today? In my estimation, Washington’s view was ascendant until the early 1960’s. Self improvement and self help was the primary vehicle for driving black progress. Schools and churches were the primary vehicle for making this happen. Since the early 60’s, the Du Bois camp has been ascendant. The primary vehicle has been large government programs and programs like affirmative action. The best way to compare how the Du Bois camp to the Washington camp is to look at socioeconomic metrics for Black America from say 1920 through 1960. That was the time period when Washington’s view was ascendant. Then compare those same metrics for Black America from 1960 through the present. I’m not going to take the time to do the actual research. (after all, I DO have a real job!!) But my lived experience tells me that this is what you’ll find: a) The black unemployment was a lot less from 1920 – 1960 than it was from 1960 to the present. b) The black youth unemployment rate was a lot less from 1920 – 1960 than it was from 1960 to the present. c) The black crime rate was a lot less from 1920 – 1960 than it was from 1960 to the present. d) The black out of wedlock birth rate was a lot less from 1920 – 1960 than it was from 1960 to the present. e) The black literacy rate was a lot better in the 1920 – 1960 time period than it was from 1960 to the present. f) The black abortion rate was a lot lower in the 1920 – 1960 time period than it was from 1960 to the present. In the neighborhood where I grew up, single motherhood was virtually unheard of. I only knew one family that didn’t have a dad present. And by now it is an established fact that the single biggest predictor of economic success for a family is the presence of a husband in the house. The single biggest predictor for a young man avoiding prison in his life experience is a father in the house. And if there is one thing that has DEFINITELY deteriorated when comparing the Washington era to the Du Bois era, it’s that somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% of black men reach adulthood without a father.
Now this is not to say that everything that occurred during the Du Bois era was wrong. Thank you Du Bois for Brown vs. the Board of Education. Thank you Du Bois for helping establish the ability of Black kids to attend institutions of higher education. Thank you Du Bois for getting rid of Jim Crow and establishing the right to the voting franchise. The case I would like to make is that the pendulum has swung too far to the Du Bois camp the last 40 years, and it’s time to swing back towards the Washington camp. In my estimation, the most important issues facing black America are no longer those that can be fixed by social policy. We’ve had a black president, we can vote, we can work at large corporations, we can attend colleges, we can become military officers. People aren’t being lynched in the streets, and we can drink at any public water fountain. All accomplishments that I credit the Du Bois camp for achieving. And of course, there are still problems of social policy that can be worked on. (and there always will be of course) But we have now entered an era where the primary problems are those that can only be fixed by Booker Washington style tactics. I’m talking about children raised in two parent families, education happening in the home and not being farmed out to a failing public school system, a focus on literacy and education, in general a focus on self-improvement. They are fooled by the clever name of the movement.
But as you know, it isn’t and never has been about protecting black lives. (or any lives for that matter)
In Portland, we finally see the “end game”. They are actually burning books in Portland.
But of course, not ANY books. They are specifically burning bibles.
Now many of your friends are church going Christians. You’re going to have to grab these kids by the lapels and make them LOOK so that they can SEE.
The purpose of this organization is to destroy Judeo Christianity and Western Civilization. The last capable defender of that is the United States of America. THIS is their true mission.
This is why knowing history is so important. Because if you know history, you know that this has been done before.

Democratic Party: Reply to History
Today’s rant is designed to give you an answer to those progressives/democrats who when confronted with the racist history of the party, that this history is in the past. They will say that the party is no longer racist.
Of course, I beg to differ. Let me walk you through my reasoning.
We are not talking about just the past sins of the Democratic Party. (And by extension progressives since that IS their party)
We ARE talking about current sins.
The Democratic party still supports killing as many black babies as possible by targeting the children of blacks & Hispanics. (And poor white women in the Appalachians)
It still supports abortions in 3rd world countries. Why is it OK to kill the children of black & brown people, but not white people?
Why is planned Parenthood located exclusively in black & Hispanic neighborhoods?
Why are black babies aborted at 300% greater rate than that of whites babies?
Why aren’t progressives insisting that “equal opportunity” be granted to upper middle class white women? Why don’t they advocate a “white abortion” program so white women can kill more of their babies? (They should be located in places like Bellevue, Wa; Lake Oswego, Or; San Mateo, Ca; Malibu; Ca; and La Jolla, Ca. See, we know where these white progressives live. And it is never where they can feel the direct impact of their policies & beliefs)
I suspect that at bottom progressives know it’s not good to kill the unborn. (If it was, planned Parenthood would have offices in the aforementioned leafy, wealthy suburbs)
But either way since they believe everyone should share equally, why do blacks deserve more if this “public good” than whites?
But fair is fair; all I’m saying be consistent.
Bottom line: that’s not yester-year. That’s going on right now.
Another thing going on right now is that every major city in the country is run by Democrats.
Every time there is a police brutality incident, it’s in a Democrat run city.
The current ground-zero incident is in a Democrat run city.
The key question no one is asking is this: “Why do Democrat’s run police departments with such poorly trained and obviously racist police officers?”
Each of these Democrat run cities have out of control crime rates with the highest homicide rates in the country.
Why are so many blacks allowed to be killed in these Democrat run cities?
Why are the worst public schools run in these Democrat cities? Why is the black education so bad in these cities?
They’ve had 70 years in power to fix it and they have only made it worse.
Why is there rampant homelessness in the Democrat run cities? Why do rats run free, human beings allowed to fester in their own urine? Poor souls who’ve lost their minds wander the streets freely in socialist Mecca’s like Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, & Los Angeles.
Wherever progressive policies prevail, the result is the same.
This experiment has been tried in every major American city. From Baltimore to Washington DC. Philadelphia to New Orleans.
And it’s not a uniquely American failure. It’s been tried with the same disasterous results in Cuba, Venezuela, Cambodia, USSR, East Germany, El Salvador, and North Korea to name a few.
Progressives have even had the opportunity to run a side by side “clinical trial” of capitalism vs. socialism within the exact same cultures on at least two separate occasions.
East Germany vs. West Germany (40 year trial) North Korea vs. South Korea (50 + years and still counting)
The results?
East Germany & North Korea have produced massive bread lines, starvation, food rationing, and complete dependence on both the sponsor state (USSR) or the west just to feed itself. They also produced concentration camps and a secret police that would make George Orwell blush.
On the other hand, capitalist South Korea has produced a top ten internationally acclaimed economy boasting internationally recognized firms like Kia. West Germany blew East Germany out of the water. The East German experiment was so atrocious that the trial was ended in 1989 with the fall of the wall, and East Germany merged with the west, took on a capitalist economy, and as they say the rest is history.
Ultimately the true measuring stick around how you measure a country’s success is by its immigration pattern. Are people leaving? Or are they staying? Are they building walls to keep people in, or to keep people out?
I think we know the answer to that one.
Progressive countries like East Germany & North Korea build walls to keep its citizens from escaping. They shoot those who attempt to leave. This is all documented and beyond dispute.
So the progressive doctrine of an uber-smart Elite dictating to other people how they ought to live their lives has already been tried. It turns out that individuals would prefer to be left alone to make their own decisions about how they run their lives, and most importantly how they think.
They just don’t want to be told what to do by a bunch of snotty nosed, pointy headed intellectuals who learned a bunch of useless, untried theory in a classroom. A classroom usually run by a professor who never met a payroll, nailed a sales quota, hired an employee, fired an employee, or did a presentation to a board of directors.
Gee, I wonder why they feel this way?
America had become the world’s greatest superpower precisely because historically relative to other countries, its government leaves its citizens alone.
Left to their own devices, people will figure it out.
Remember, at the end of the day progressivism works by force.
It works by using the government to force people to pay for things they would never approve of on their own.
By passing laws designed to force people to think a certain way.
Progressivism can’t compete in the market place of ideas, so it uses organizations like Antifa and “Black Lives Matter” to either physically bully the opposition into silence or to conduct character assassination on those who disagree.
Of course, given the track record I just set forth, they KNOW they can’t compete on facts and past performance.
So name calling becomes the order of the day.
They attempt to silence the opposition by calling us racists, homophobes, or ignorant. They are very careful to avoid an intellectual discussion around what works and what doesn’t work.
If you will recall, this rant is designed to refute the premise that while the Democratic Party history was racist, it is no longer racist in nature.
Let me close by saying the following:
A). Any progressive who makes that statement has just accepted as fact that the party has been racist for a very long time.
B) That progressive has still not addressed why it’s policies have been abysmal failures after a 70 year trial in the nation’s largest cities.
Here are the key questions progressives have to answer:
Why do these police brutality incidents keep happening in Democratic Cities? Why are so many blacks killed in Democratic run cities? Why are black children given such poor educations in Democratic run cities? Why is the homeless situation so bad in Democratic run cities?
These are legitimate questions that every citizen should be asking. I don’t care if you’re Republican, Independent, or Democrat. Black, Brown, White, or anything in between.
Blacks have been the most loyal voting block for progressives for going on 70 years now. We vote Democratic at over 90% decade after decade. And what have we gotten in return?
The nation’s highest unemployment rates. The nation’s highest death by homicide rates. The nation’s worst public schools The worst high school dropout rates The highest abortion rates The highest reported percentages of police brutality
And so I ask: what is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
It is very obvious why Republicans don’t give a damn about blacks: because no matter what they do, blacks won’t vote for them.
For this reason, It’s perfectly rational to ignore black issues if you’re a Republican politician.
On the other hand if you’re a democratic politician it’s perfectly rational to ignore blacks as well. Blacks are going to vote for you weather you follow through on the campaign promises or not. Blacks have done this for 70 years. Progressives come to our churches and do a fake black accent every four years. We vote for them. Then we don’t hear from them for another four years.
Does that really make sense?
French Revolution vs. American Revolution
This time we’ll compare the French Revolution to the American Revolution. The interesting thing about these two revolutions is that they happened at about the same time. The French Revolution occurred between 1789 – 1799.The American Revolution occurred between 1775 – 1783 So how were these two revolutions different? The short version is as follows: The American Revolution was about equal treatment under the law. No taxation without representation. The constitutional principal that all men are created equal and endowed by the creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Inherent within the US Constitution are the following attributes: a) Explicit recognition of Godb) Explicit recognition of individual rights that cannot be altered by the statec) Explicit recognition that men are to be treated equally under the law. (inherent in this is the understanding that all men are NOT equally endowed in the areas of talent, ambition, desires, or needs) The American model is that of limited government. The US Constitution grants the federal government very limited rights and duties. They are set forth in a fairly short document. All other duties are to be carried out by the states. There was an understanding at the time that there is a moral role for churches, community, and tradition to help those who fall short. Inherent in the American Model is the understanding of the nature of man. (think original sin) The understanding that man craves power, and as Lord Acton stated: Power Corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. To that end, a Federal system was created dispersing power in a variety of ways. Fifty different states with fifty different constitutions, fifty different governors, and fifty different legislatures. An executive branch in the form of the presidency, and judicial branch in the form of the supreme court, and an executive branch in the form of a congress. The principle reason this has worked so well for over 200 years is that it is very, very difficult for an one person or group to control ALL of those institutions. The beauty of it is that if one branch screws something up, the others can fix it. If Oregon does something stupid, its residents can move to Idaho. If North Carolina does something great, Michigan can look at that and emulate it. This is absolutely brilliant on the part of the founders. But it only works if no one branch gets too much power. If the federal government becomes all powerful, where can you go? We want to keep federal power very limited. Let’s compare this to the French Revolution. The French Revolution was very different. This was a revolution that attempted to remake man. The leadership believed that man could be perfected if only led by the right people. This differs dramatically from the American Revolution where the founders understood the limitations of man and that man can never be perfected while here on earth. The objective with this revolution was this: how can man best rule himself given man’s limitations. The French Revolution was about perfecting man. Now to do this, the leadership under individuals like Maximilien Robespierre, and George Danton felt that it would be necessary to reinvent society. (is any of this sounding familiar?) The battle cry of the French Revolution was Liberte, egalite, and fraternite. Short version: Equality of result in all things. This is a practical impossibility given the nature of man. But if it IS to be achieved, the only way to do it is by force. Because it is not inherent in human nature. And force means the point of a gun. (or in this case, the guillotine) About 17,000 french citizens met the guillotine during the French Revolution. As Joseph Stalin commented about 150 years later: “you have to scramble some eggs to make some omelets”. So how does all this have relevance to what is happening now in the United States? Some of the common things that occurred during the French Revolution was the destruction of all historical artifacts, art, and statues. Three bishops and two hundred priests were massacred. The following actions were taken to “de-Christianize” France:
destruction of statues, plates and other iconography from places of worship
destruction of crosses, bells and other external signs of worship
the institution of revolutionary and civic cults, including the Cult of Reason and subsequently the Cult of the Supreme Being (spring 1794)
the enactment of a law on 21 October 1793 making all nonjuring priests and all persons who harbored them liable to death on sight
The issue of Church property became central to the policies of the new revolutionary government. Declaring that all Church property in France belonged to the nation, confiscations were ordered and Church properties were sold at public auction.
In November 1793, the department council of Indre-et-Loire abolished the word demarche (English: Sunday).[19]
The Gregorian calendar, an instrument decreed by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, was replaced by the French Republican Calendar which abolished the Sabbath, saints’ days and any references to the Church. The seven-day week became ten days instead.[20] It soon became clear, however, that nine consecutive days of work were too much, and that international relations could not be carried out without reverting to the Gregorian system, which was still in use everywhere outside of France. Consequently, the Gregorian Calendar was reimplemented in 1795.
Now if any of this sounds familiar to current events, it should. Consider: * The current mobs are tearing down statues all over the United States * The leftist agenda has already successfully changed dating from AD and BC to CE and BCE * There have been several moves already to remove the tax exempt status of the church * Public bashing and silencing of those who speak from a religious perspective (especially Christian) * Removal of religious symbols from public places (think about crosses at cemeteries, or war memorials for example) Make no mistake: What you see happening in the streets of Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Minneapolis, et al have NOTHING to do with George Floyd. They have everything to do with dismantling Western Civilization and Judeo Christianity. The gold standard right now is the United States. If they can destroy the United States, they rule the world. (think of those old school cartoons: this is a definite “moooo ha ha” moment!!) One last thought on this subject that the two of you who are over 21 will appreciate: Think of your peers. They’ve spent a fortune to attend these outrageously priced universities. They’ve been told for a minimum of four years that they are God’s gift to creation, and that people who have not attended college are nothing but a bunch of stupid boobs just waiting for them to graduate and enlighten them. They’ve also been told that their parents and the generations that came before them are just a bunch of dummies, and you can forget all the traditions that they’ve taught them. Then they graduate and start to look for that first job. And reality hits. Turns out that there just isn’t a demand for Women’s Studies, Gender Fluidity, and Sociology majors. So their first job out of college is at Starbucks making $10/hour. To make matters worse, they have to report to one of those stupid boobs they heard about in college. You know, somebody about 20 years older than them. Maybe even someone without….hold your breath….a college degree!! (curse of curses!!) Now if all that isn’t bad enough, they’ve got to pay off that $100K loan they took out working at that $10/hour job. And they have the choice of renting a place for $2,000 per month and sharing it with 5 of their best friends. Of course, there is always the option of living in mom and dad’s basement until they are 30 years old. (Now you’re asking way too much: It’s hard to justify to yourself that you know more than the people who are putting food in your mouth and a roof over your head) So, what do you do? Now you’re angry and somebody is to blame for this unhappy scenario. So it’s time to tear something up. Rather than look in the mirror and figure out how to make it, they want to blame somebody. Why not the system? And to a certain extent they are correct. They were sold a bill of goods. They were told life is easy. Just go to college and when you get out you’re the elite. You’ll get stuff because you’re better than everybody else. It only makes sense that they would want to go on the rampage. Enough for one morning. Contemplate, review, come to your own conclusions. Sent millions of americans to universities to be educated.Instead they got indoctrinated into thinking they were smarter than all the generations that came before them. Then they hit the streets and discovered reality: that they don’t know squat, and the marketplace has no respect for their worthless degrees in womens studies, social studies, and human rights. So their compensation isn’t high. To top that off, they were $100K in debt for their troubles. And no way to pay the debt. So they’ve been duped, and they’re just beginning to find out how badly ripped off they’ve been by the higher educational institutions. And they are angry. They’ve been told they are the smartest people in the world for 16 years of school, and now reality has hit. How would you deal with that? Rioting seems to be the best way to express that anger. We may be having a Gandalf moment. Frodo & Gandalf conversation Conservative elites like George Bush and Mitt Romney feel more comfortable bashing Trump because of his mannerisms. But they are somehow willing to trade that off against less taxation, increased growth, job gains for everyone and especially minorities, holding Europe accountable for paying for its own defense, making America energy independent, they would trade that because he is not one of them? Because he is not “suave” and “debonair”? (national review in that gang)
